topic 1: working in a laboratory
During this unit YR7 students will be introduced to the science laboratory. They will learn proper laboratory procedures and safety. They will also learn about combustion and how to use a fire extinguisher.
2.1 Practical and enquiry skills: b) assess risk and work safely in the laboratory, field and workplace. 2.1c Plan and carry out practical and investigative activities, both individually and in groups; 2.2 Critical understanding of evidence; 3.2 Chemical and material behaviour
