Journey through the Digestive Tract project. Your task is to choose a piece of food you would like to eat. State the food groups that are in your chosen food. (you should contain at least two from the following: fats, carbohydrates and proteins. Then you need to describe what happens to each food type as you travel through the digestive system from the mouth to when you will be absorbed or passed onto the large intestine. Be as descriptive and imaginative as possible and make use of all the enzymes involved and parts of the digestive system. What happens as you are moved along?
You may make up names for your food types or even be the food type yourself.
Use resources, your notes and the internet to help write the story.
