About Me

Hi Everybody and Welcome!

My name is William Green. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a science teacher.  Teaching and science go hand in hand.  A new adventure and experience every day.

I have been in education for the past 20 years. I have taught Middle School Science, High School Agriculture Science, Biology and Aviation Science as well as College Biology and Botany. I have experience teaching in both the American, British and International Baccalaureate Educational Systems.  Prior to teaching I had the honor of serving in the U.S. military, worked as an agricultural consultant, and flew as a commercial pilot.  Those experiences are what shaped much of the “how’s and why’s” of my approach to teaching.  I believe strongly that students must be given the opportunity to think-think-think while engaged in the processes of doing science.  I believe that laboratory activities are an essential component of the science education, but those experiences can't be labs wherein students simply follow directions. The activity must require students to be inquiry thinkers interjecting their own skills and intellect into the process.  In short, students must be allowed to discover and experience science.

Originally from the state of Arizona, I have lived in Texas, Kansas and New Mexico. I have been teaching international for 15 years. I have taught in Saudi Arabia, Malawi, Venezuela and Atlanta, Georgia. I enjoy four-wheeling, hiking through the mountains, fishing, climbing, diving or just relaxing on a tropical beach.

Allow me to add that I enjoy spending time with every one of my students. I also hope that I can continue to be a resource for them in the future.
